"Dixons Store Group International saw sales fall ten per cent in the 12 weeks ended 10 January because customers delayed buying TVs and computers until after Christmas, once the sales had begun."
Oh boo-hoo, boo-hoo.
You mean the punters have finally (and God knows it took long enough) twigged on that retailers put their prices UP in the run up to Christmas and then sell off whatever they can't sell at those inflated prices at a discount during the January sales to clear space for the next batch of stock. So now maybe that business model doesn't work so well for them any more. Oh boo-hoo, boo-hoo. Meh. Dixons are such a rippoff at the best of times.
